Cake update
Today the cakes have gone from being just cakes to cakes with butter icing. Tomorrow the scary bit when I have to coat them in the white chocolate layer to make them beautiful. Today has had its scary moments too though as the cakes had to be handled a fair bit to join them together in pairs. Here are a few photos from along the way:

This is just some of the chocolate that has been involved.

Comments:
These photos are marvellous Mary Plain as are all the others on your Flickr stream. I see you were in Mexico in 2003.
All very exciting.
However, I digress. The amount of chocolate here is obscene. Did you feel embarrassed buying it? Was it like buying condoms? - (as we have to call them in these modern times.)

I have to confess I did the shopping online via Tescos - less embarrassing. 36 bars of plain (Tesco finest 72% cocoa) and 47 bars of the white choc. We cleaned them out of the latter- they only had 36 bars- so had to get the last 11 bars from Sainsbury's which was all they had. Then there were the 66 eggs, several pounds of butter, sugar, etc etc.

We go to Mexico when we can to see our goddaughter Veronica. And her mum and dad and brother.. wish we got there more often. She is the little girl in the pics and in my chapter in Jackie's book. I am gradually uploading a backlog of photos.

Your cake looks amazing - and must surely be the most expensive cake ever made by a bear?

certainly the most expensive cake ever made by THIS bear!
